With that in mind I'll risk my review: Great putter, best putter from the two putters I had in my six years as a golfer. My old putter was a very old Odyssey White Hot model I bought used when I started playing, and you can feel the difference with this one from day one. Balance and speed feels great and if you are a putter with no arch in your swing and an overall conventional putting stance, you will find this guy goes where it is aimed 100% of the times. You will think well, all putters will do that but it's not true, in general and in theory they will but not always, and that's where the price difference will come in most putters: the highest the price the higher the probability that your put will go in the direction you aimed at, and for this mid-range putter there is no doubt that's the case
As per the weight and the distance, I found this putter to be on the heavy side and more often that not you will find hitting long puts than short ones. This is good alright, but you will need to make an extra-effort to get a sense of the distance this guy can go particularly on long puts of 12 feet or more. The tendency to go way long on these situations is very common, and you will need to practice enough before getting a proper felling on long distance puts. Having say this, in medium-short puts, 10 feet or less it's amazing, and in 3-4 footers it's a killer, it will be very hard to miss a short put with an instrument so precise, and is in this situations I've found this putter to be a significant improvement when compared to my old one. If you are good at approaching, this putter will be a perfect companion, but if you find yourself making very long puts all the times, you will need to practice a good deal before seeing the results. Not that you won't see them, but this putter thrust the ball stronger than many other puts I've tried and used, so you will need to adapt your swing accordingly
Overall, a highly recommended instrument that will make an improvement to your game right away. Of course, it's not the solution to all your golf or putting woes and it won't guarantee you two or one puts all the time. At the end is not the weapon but the wielder, but we all golfers know that, no matter what club makers make us to believe.

Product Description:
Designed for elite performance, the Odyssey Black Series #1 putter is the company's first all-milled putter, with a rich nickel-plated finish and traditional styling. Rather than building a simple steel-milled putter, Odyssey designed the Black Series #1 using a multi-material construction that integrates a 1025 carbon steel body and a tungsten flange.
The Black Series #1 putter integrates a carbon steel body and a tungsten flange. The result is a rare combination of beauty, technology, and performance, with a low, deep center of gravity that promotes a true roll. The secret to the putter's crisp performance is its efficient weight distribution, which is transferred from the hogged-out hosel and upper areas of the putter head to the flange. When combined with the precision-milled putter head, the tungsten flange produces an optimally balanced weight, creating a smooth stroke and amazing accuracy whether you're standing 5 or 50 feet from the cup.
The blade putter also employs the company's Fine-Tuned Loft System, which delivers a higher launch angle that lets you easily lift the ball from its depression on the green at an optimum trajectory. As a consequence, your putts will roll incredibly smoothly from the precise point of impact. And thanks to the club's urethane dampening layer--which is located between the tungsten and carbon steel of the blade--the putter feels extremely fluid. Specific details include a rounded heel-toe weighted blade with a "crank-neck" hosel and full-shaft offset, a 3-degree loft, and a 70-degree lie. The Black Series #1 putter is available with a 33-, 34-, or 35-inch shaft in both right- or left-handed versions.
The putter's efficient weight distribution creates a smooth stroke.About Odyssey Putters
An Odyssey putter is a promise made. Odyssey designs each of its putters to help golfers to slay more demons and sink more putts. But the company also designs them to withstand any kind of punishment, and then backs them up with an Odyssey assurance of quality. Odyssey rarely sees a putter returned, but if you find a defect within a two-year period, the company will repair or replace it no questions asked. And that's a promise kept.
About Odyssey
Odyssey believes you can overcome a ton of adversity on the golf course--including nasty rough and deep sand traps--but that you live or die on the green. That's why the company has created some of the industry's most innovative putters over the years. In 1991, Odyssey released the first mallet putters molded entirely from a lightweight, soft, and resilient elastomer called Stronomic. Two years after its introduction, the Stronomic putter earned its first Tour win and quickly garnered wide acceptance among pros. By 1995, Odyssey had claimed 26 first-place victories across the six major tours, and by 1996 had claimed its first Masters win. In subsequent years, Odyssey unveiled the Tri-Force line, which offers a unique tri-sole design that squares the setup at address; the White Hot, with a patented insert that proves softer and more responsive than the Stronomic; and the White Steel, which combines a precision-milled, stainless-steel insert and an improved White Hot urethane insert to produce more precision and accuracy than ever before. In 2003, Odyssey neared a staggering 50 percent market share within the putter business, and has continued to profoundly influence the market ever since.
