First - I chose to go with these after sweeping Golf Digest reviews.
Got the combo iron set a few days ago. I also got the Diablo Woods and Driver. Wow! What a set! Just heavenly to play with. The smoothest feeling when you launch. For the irons, I get consistent 10m extra, and the and the 3 and 4 hybrids are so easy to do a good job with - and the ball just flies. Very forgiving, too. For the whole set, even half-misses go almost all the way.Also, the Callaway grip is very comfortable. Actually, this set is better than I expected. I chose these over the Titleist AP1, and don't regret a sec.
Although my old beginners set the Top Flite 5000 is quite good to play with (except the driver there, which sucks), the new set is a world of difference. Including the price.
The only negative I can come up with is that I can't blame equipment anymore on bad days.

Callaway Core Technology: VFT Technology With Callaway's VFT Technology, the club creates higher ball speeds across the entire face, meaning hotter distance with more consistency. The face is thicker in the center and ultra-thin around the edges, which allows more energy from the impact of the clubface to be transferred to the ball. I replaced my Calloway Fusion Irons with the X-24 Hot and I can really tell the difference.I've always been able to hit a relatively long ball with any set of irons but I did not have much accuracy.I have since altered my swing in a effort to gain more accuracy and I was successful but my distance was dramatically reduced.I was also tentative when selecting a club that I would never have considered prior to my swing change.I can hit a 7 iron 180 yds but as a result of my swing change I was getting 150 yds with improved accuracy.The problem was that I would often decelerate thinking I was hitting to much club.The X-24's allow to hit my iron shots the original distance without increasing my swing speed.I'm getting the best of both worlds.I'm hittingshots full distance with a three-quarter swing and my accuracy is much improved. Long irons and mid irons are equally simple to hit.I'm elated with these new clubs and I highly recommend them.I hope the review helps.
